What You'll Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing expert guidance on recruitment strategies, market trends, and hiring best practices.

Position Information

This is a full-time, at-will role, offering comprehensive benefits. Position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. This position is approved for partial telecommuting with on-site work in San Diego after the training period.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in full-cycle recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources.

Key Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and understanding of HR policies, employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment and selection.
  • Proficiency with PageUp or similar applicant tracking systems, PeopleSoft HCM, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Demonstrated experience providing lead work direction or supervising recruitment staff, including assigning work, coaching, and ensuring consistent, high-quality recruitment practices.
  • Demonstrated success in using data analytics and metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, candidate experience, hiring manager satisfaction) to drive recruitment strategy and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative recruiting strategies that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and candidate experience.

Compensation And Benefits

Expected hiring range: $80,000–$90,000 annually
