Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement effective talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals, including campus recruitment, and internal / external sourcing.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting processes utilizing ATS platforms.
- Conduct thorough candidate screening, interviewing, and assessment to ensure the best fit for each role.
- Support negotiations with candidates regarding employment terms and offers while maintaining positive relationships.
- Utilize social media management tools and platforms for sourcing and engaging potential candidates.
- Collaborate and build relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
- Lead employee orientation and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law standards throughout the recruitment process.
- Track recruitment metrics and generate data using HR technology tools.
- Lead training & development efforts for hiring teams on best practices in interviewing, HR sourcing, and candidate experience.
- Collaborate with the HR Director on hiring strategy and utilization of recruitment data to support succession planning and other strategic decision making.
- Understands recruiting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including but not limited to, Time to Fill, and works to improve them.
Activities
- Proven expertise in negotiation, recruiting, campus recruitment, and internal / external recruiting strategies.
- Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Continually seeks more efficient recruiting tactics, including concepts for more difficult to fill positions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in social media management for talent sourcing and employer branding purposes.
- Familiarity with employment & labor law to ensure compliant hiring practices.
- Ability to conduct research for talent market insights and lead generation activities effectively.
- Strong understanding of HR sourcing techniques.
Skill, Capability And Educational Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, or HR preferred.
- 2 + years of HR experience, with an emphasis on recruiting or talent acquisition strategy required.
- Recruiting experience for rural, industrial markets strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated coaching and influence skills and leadership presence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining professional composure.
- Proficiency in MS Applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
- Strong working understanding of recruiting platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.
