About the Role
Reporting to the VP of HR, the Lead Specialist - Talent Acquisition will lead full-cycle recruiting for select technical and professional positions across the client’s site locations. This role is a trusted advisor to hiring managers, a credible voice with candidates, and a proactive sourcer who understands the nuances of regulated medical device environments, specialized skill sets, and competitive talent markets.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who can go beyond posting jobs and build targeted pipelines for technical, professional, and business-critical roles across a growing organization. Recruiting is more than filling roles—it’s building the teams that support innovation, quality, and growth in the medical device industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting from intake and sourcing strategy through candidate engagement, interview process, offer, and onboarding.
- Build targeted sourcing plans for hard-to-fill roles using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, talent mapping, networking, referrals, job boards, events, and industry communities.
- Develop strong partnerships with hiring managers and senior leaders, translating business needs into focused search strategies and clear candidate profiles.
- Identify and engage passive talent in the medical device market, creating compelling outreach that earns responses and builds long-term relationships.
- Deliver a thoughtful, responsive, and professional candidate experience from first contact through final decision.
- Use market insights, pipeline data, and recruiting metrics to recommend where to source, how to position roles, and how to improve speed and quality of hire.
- Partner with marketing and internal stakeholders to strengthen the client’s employment brand and increase awareness among future talent.
- Manage postings, applicant flow, candidate documentation, assessments, references, and recruiting activity through the applicant tracking system.
- Periodically travel across the client’s geographic footprint for recruiting needs, hiring events, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Strong sourcing instincts and the ability to uncover talent others miss, especially for technical, operations, quality, engineering, commercial, and professional roles.
- Knowledge of the medical device, medical technology, or regulated manufacturing talent market, including the ability to speak credibly with specialized candidates.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to advise hiring managers and the warmth to build trust with candidates.
- A proactive, organized, and resilient recruiting style with the ability to manage multiple searches while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Experience creating outreach strategies, talent pipelines, and candidate engagement plans that convert passive prospects into interested candidates.
- Comfort using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office, and modern sourcing tools to manage and measure recruiting activity.
- Commitment to inclusive hiring practices and a consistent, high-quality candidate experience.
Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally with exposure to medical device, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, engineering, quality, regulatory, operations, or commercial hiring.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, sales, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success building pipelines, engaging passive talent, and closing candidates in competitive markets.
