About the role

We have an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Intern at our Metro Detroit location, starting immediately. Currently working remote.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with staffing/hiring process using ATS tools (Ceridian Software)
  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Conduct follow-up meetings with hiring managers
  • Manage full-life cycle recruiting process to ensure a smooth experience for both candidates and hiring managers
  • Work closely with and build relationships with internal hiring managers and external sources of talent
  • Utilize social media, applicant tracking system and other tools to effectively and efficiently attract and secure talent for the organization
  • Maintain visible status of open positions along with progress toward closure
  • Be a partner and strong resource for recruitment tools and process to the plant locations
  • Work with hiring managers and HR Management to create job descriptions
  • Manage applicant flow within ATS; source, screen resumes/candidates, coordinate interviews (may include arranging travel and hotel accommodations)
  • Ensure recruitment efforts are conducted in a manner that is unbiased and compliant with OFCCP requirements and all other applicant tracking requirements
  • Facilitate interviewing and hiring best practices, policies, and laws
  • Help maintain team member files
  • Assist HR Department with various audits as requested
  • All other duties assigned

Expectations

  • Must be self-motivated
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and follow deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills
  • Expected workload: minimum 30 hours per week, depending on schedule/availability of qualified candidate

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year or equivalent in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous work experience preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Minimal travel required.
