About the role
We have an opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Intern at our Metro Detroit location, starting immediately. Currently working remote.
Responsibilities
- Assist with staffing/hiring process using ATS tools (Ceridian Software)
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Conduct follow-up meetings with hiring managers
- Manage full-life cycle recruiting process to ensure a smooth experience for both candidates and hiring managers
- Work closely with and build relationships with internal hiring managers and external sources of talent
- Utilize social media, applicant tracking system and other tools to effectively and efficiently attract and secure talent for the organization
- Maintain visible status of open positions along with progress toward closure
- Be a partner and strong resource for recruitment tools and process to the plant locations
- Work with hiring managers and HR Management to create job descriptions
- Manage applicant flow within ATS; source, screen resumes/candidates, coordinate interviews (may include arranging travel and hotel accommodations)
- Ensure recruitment efforts are conducted in a manner that is unbiased and compliant with OFCCP requirements and all other applicant tracking requirements
- Facilitate interviewing and hiring best practices, policies, and laws
- Help maintain team member files
- Assist HR Department with various audits as requested
- All other duties assigned
Expectations
- Must be self-motivated
- Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and follow deadlines
- Effective interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills
- Expected workload: minimum 30 hours per week, depending on schedule/availability of qualified candidate
Requirements
- Minimum of one year or equivalent in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Previous work experience preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Minimal travel required.
