About the role

Onboarding is our new hire’s first impression of our company. It sets the tone for retention, culture integration, and long-term performance. As our Onboarding Coordinator, you will own this experience—turning new hires into mission-aligned contributors who hit the ground running. This is your launchpad into an HR career with real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the pre-boarding process, ensuring zero gaps and a frictionless process for new hire classes that range from a few people up to 25 in any given week.
  • Leverage core onboarding and HR technologies like Greenhouse, HireRight, and LMS systems.
  • Interact with candidates to help them understand the process and complete their required tasks.
  • Be the first line of support in our Onboarding inbox—route questions, find answers fast, and get to the next task.
  • Partner effectively with stakeholders and partners in Talent Acquisition, HR, supply chain, payroll, IT, and other critical areas of the business.
  • Interact regularly with our high-volume construction leadership for front-line hires, keeping them abreast of progress for their new hires and engaging their help to move candidates along.
  • Maintain clean, accurate new hire records and data systems—you are the master of the details that flow downstream to your other partners, and your work impacts everyone if done incorrectly.
  • Support strategic onboarding change initiatives that strengthen team cohesion and embed culture from the start.
  • Deliver weekly orientation classes, partnering with IT, L&D, travel, and other critical partners to help new hires get connected and start their onboarding journey to ramp up to productivity.

Requirements

  • High intellectual quotient with strong problem-solving ability—you think critically and find solutions to daily challenges.
  • Extreme ownership mentality—you own outcomes, not just activities. You take initiative, follow through, and hold yourself accountable.
  • Results-oriented and adaptable—you thrive in a fast-moving environment and adjust your approach based on what the data tells you.
  • Operational excellence—passion for organization, process, and accuracy. Attention to detail is your competitive advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence navigating digital systems.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and genuine people skills—you treat confidential information with care and build trust quickly.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 0-4 years of experience in a support/admin role (HR experience is a plus but not required—we value potential).

Nice to have

  • Experience in Talent Acquisition or onboarding.
  • Experience utilizing HireRight & Greenhouse Onboarding.
  • Experience handling employee data, managing compliance audits, or implementing onboarding best practices.
  • Experience working with hourly unskilled and skilled-trades workers.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, compliance frameworks, or ATS/HRIS systems.
  • Track record of driving process improvements that save time and reduce errors.

Benefits

  • This is not a job—it is a career launchpad. You will work alongside exceptional people who value intellectual rigor, ownership, and results.
  • You will see the direct impact of your work on company culture and retention.
  • You will have a clear runway to grow (P&T Generalist, Recruiter, or other pathways) as you demonstrate impact and readiness.
  • We invest heavily in our people. You will get mentorship from our leadership team, exposure to strategic HR initiatives, professional development support, and a genuine commitment to your growth trajectory.

Pay

US pay range for this role: $45,000—$65,000 USD.
