Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage candidates with experience in skilled trades openings by leveraging Avature, online platforms, social channels, and industry-focused sourcing resources.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for recurring trade positions across priority markets, ensuring a steady flow of prospective candidates.
  • Conduct targeted research on employers, training programs, unions, and regional labor markets to uncover new sources of skilled trades talent.
  • Perform initial candidate outreach and screening activities while keeping individuals informed and creating a detail-oriented, responsive experience.
  • Use Avature on a daily basis to search for talent, categorize profiles, track activity, and maintain accurate candidate records.
  • Monitor pipeline performance by updating recruiting data, preserving data quality, and preparing basic sourcing and activity reports.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to share market intelligence related to talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring activity.
  • Recommend and support new sourcing strategies such as trade school outreach, experienced talent programs, industry events, and job fair participation.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of recruiting or sourcing experience, including substantial focus on skilled trades hiring.
  • Demonstrated success identifying talent for positions such as electricians, welders, mechanics, machinists, maintenance technicians, or similar trade specialists.
  • Hands-on experience using Avature for candidate searches, talent pooling, campaign activity, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, LinkedIn, job boards, social media, and market research.
  • Able to manage multiple openings and candidate pipelines with strong attention to organization and follow-through.
  • Clear and detail-oriented communication skills when interacting with candidates and internal hiring partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience in recruiting and skilled trades talent acquisition.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position is fully remote and initially has an 6-month contract term with potential for extension based on business needs.
