About the role
The primary responsibility of a Talent Acquisition Specialist is to coordinate recruitment efforts for Empowering People's Independence (EPI).
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to post openings, coordinate job fairs, conduct interviews at various work sites, and use social media to fill vacancies.
- Screen resumes and coordinate applicant flow via various recruitment sources.
- Aid hiring managers with interviews as needed and ensure alignment with company values.
- Review and update recruitment processes frequently, seeking opportunities for improvement and revising as necessary.
- Deliver top-notch customer service while maintaining professional composure.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations affecting human resources functions related to the hiring process.
- Model policy compliance, workplace safety, judicious use of financial resources, and constructive working relationships with colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion concerning onboarding information and other personnel actions.
- Ensure information is accurate at all times.
- May serve on established and/or ad hoc agency committees or project teams as requested.

- Complete required regulatory training within 90 days of being hired and annually thereafter.
- Maintain current certifications with all required trainings and regulatory matters pertaining to hiring, to include I-9 guidelines.
- Receptive to feedback; willing and interested in continuous improvement and leadership development.
- Able to work independently and as a collaborator.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all persons supported and employees within various levels of the organization.
- Maintain a valid New York State driver's license; a vehicle is required to perform the job; Employee may be required to travel.
