About the role
The Talent Acquisition Assistant supports talent acquisition and employee development initiatives. This role coordinates recruitment activities, onboarding processes, training programs, and employee learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Post job openings on job boards, company career pages, and social media platforms.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and Talent Acquisition Specialist.
- Manage candidate communications, including interview confirmations, follow-ups, and status updates.
- Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Support onboarding activities for new hires, interns and temporary staff.
- Cookordinate and Track employee training and completion.
- Cover recruitment events, career fairs, and employer branding initiatives.
- Back up to front desk duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and hiring procedures.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Adhere to Compliance Plan and HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 3 years exp as a Recruiter or HR Coordinator / Assistant role.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of common state and federal labor laws.
- Experience in dealing with confidential matters with tact, sensitivity, and discretion.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
- Strong time management and attention to details.
- Willingness and ability to read, write, speak, understand English and have the communications skills necessary to provide accurate information to all levels of staff.
- Willingness and ability to follow written and verbal direction in English.
- Willingness and ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality and privacy.
- Willingness and ability to interact professionally with all customers, members, and co-workers, individually and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to effectively handle multiple items/tasks as required and adapt favorably to changing priorities.
- Willingness and ability to make appropriate judgments, decisions and problem solving in a timely manner and within the context of the situation at hand.
- Ability to effectively prioritize items/tasks as required.
- Willingness and ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
- Willingness and ability to understand and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations.
- PHR preferred.
