Sytems Administrator 3

Responsibilities

• Typical Sys Admin tasks – Server Certificate life cycle, monitoring VM health status, update software on VMs (manually and through YUM repos), making sure VMs satisfy latest security requirements set by the Enterprise.
• Maintaining and securing production Linux VMs – stand-alone VMs and those integrated in a Kubernetes cluster – across multiple hosting platforms.
• Collaborating with customers and development teams to support product needs, including handling both trivial and significant changes.
• Running and maintaining Ansible playbooks to push out changes to VMs.
• Maintaining and monitoring Kubernetes clusters through Rancher or kubectl commands to ensure node and pod health.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux skills including troubleshooting.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience managing and securing VMs (STE/STN).
• Active Security + Certification for all members of the infrastructure team.
• Fifteen (15) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• CentOS or RHEL Experience.
• PKI Certificate/Server Certificate Setup.
• Kubernetes experience.
• AWS Experience (e.g. EC2, RDS, etc.).
• OpenStack Exposure.
• VMWare Exposure.
• Team player but can work on tasks independently.
• Git Experience – push, pull, commit changes to a repo.

Desired

• CentOS or RHEL Experience.
• PKI Certificate/Server Certificate Setup.
• Kubernetes experience.
• AWS Experience (e.g. EC2, RDS, etc.).
• OpenStack Exposure.
