Responsibilities
- Typical Sys Admin tasks – Server Certificate life cycle, monitoring VM health status, update software on VMs (manually and through YUM repos), making sure VMs satisfy latest security requirements set by the Enterprise.
- Maintaining and securing production Linux VMs – stand-alone VMs and those integrated in a Kubernetes cluster – across multiple hosting platforms.
- Collaborating with customers and development teams to support product needs, including handling both trivial and significant changes.
- Running and maintaining Ansible playbooks to push out changes to VMs.
- Maintaining and monitoring Kubernetes clusters through Rancher or kubectl commands to ensure node and pod health.
Qualifications
- Strong Linux skills including troubleshooting.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Experience managing and securing VMs (STE/STN).
- Active Security + Certification for all members of the infrastructure team.
- Fifteen (15) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- CentOS or RHEL Experience.
- PKI Certificate/Server Certificate Setup.
- Kubernetes experience.
- AWS Experience (e.g. EC2, RDS, etc.).
- OpenStack Exposure.
- VMWare Exposure.
- Team player but can work on tasks independently.
- Git Experience – push, pull, commit changes to a repo.
Desired
