Essential Responsibilities

  • Supports implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems.
  • Supports IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Supports the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Supports the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
  • Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.
  • Implements operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • A good understanding of Windows and Linux as an end user.

  • TS/SCI Poly

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, five (5) additional years of work-related experience may be substituted for a total of twelve (12) years.

Minimum Years of Experience

  • Fifteen (15) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Certifications

  • Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAT Level II.

Other Responsibilities

  • Safety: Develops and maintains a safe work environment; completes training requirements; fulfills self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities; participates in emergency response tasks; serves on safety committees and teams.
  • Quality: Consistently provides services that meet customer expectations; conforms to the Amentum Quality Policy and carries out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
  • Procedure Compliance: Reads, understands, and implements the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the job.

Compensation Details

$175,000 - $215,000
