Position Summary
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Technical Operations and, is responsible for providing support for applications and infrastructure in line with business service level agreements (SLAs). This position supports Field Operations and the Service Desk with:
Job Responsibility
- Provide for identification, communication, escalation and troubleshooting of issues between technical operations as a service provider and customers or consumers.
- Operate as part of a greater and very diverse team including many specialist roles. Must be willing to cross-train and cross-support other team members.
- Support ongoing IT Technical Operations projects and tasks. This includes but is not limited to, hardware installations, workstation software deployments and management/configuration of deployment tools, imaging, domain controller configuration, advanced scripting, etc.
- Influence: Develop and maintain operational documentation including standards, procedures, process diagrams, process inventory, and support references.
- Influence: Develop and maintain 24x7 monitoring of systems and processes in order to provide Tier 1/2 support as part of a rotating on-call schedule.
Job Responsibilities Cont.
Drive: Provision new business locations within the enterprise point of sale systems.
Support and maintenance of new enterprise point of sale systems including but not limited to workstation-imaging, deployments, and configuration, advanced scripting, and Oracle/ SQL DB querying.
Manage or Direct:
- Manage the delivery of batch processes and services in support of live production systems including reports, data extracts and file movements.
- Manage environments including maintaining and deploying applications, application servers, databases and software in coordination with each environment's designated owner.
- Manage the migration and deployment of applications as part of SDLC compliant environments at every stage including development, quality assurance, user certification and release to production.
Maintain:
- Provide continual process improvement by understanding and analyzing processes with the intent to make them better, faster and more stable while lowering maintenance requirements.
Education Required
- AA or AS in IT-related field or equivalent experience.
Experience Required
- 2 years total experience within IT field or undergrad education equivalent.
Knowledge Required
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
- General working knowledge of technical systems, quality standards, security concerns, production environments and systems monitoring.
- Operating system experience in Windows, Linux and Unix environments.
- Experience with Windows/DOS batch files, shell scripting, SQL and/or PERL.
- Experience with application servers, web servers, databases and schedulers.
- Experience in the manipulation and movement of data and files.
Physical Requirements
