Systems Operation Dispatcher

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Systems Operation Dispatcher in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. This position is represented by Local 2150.

Responsibilities

• Handles communications using a multiple line phone/radio system
• Dispatches, routes, and monitors field personnel (gas and/or electric) designated for both planned and unplanned work
• Utilizes multiple software programs to create, track, and analyze work orders, dispatch field resources, and submit locate requests
• Works with a sense of urgency to immediately route field personnel to calls involving imminent danger or threats to public safety
• Works collaboratively with peers and management personnel to prioritize work and resources based on emergency response, worker qualifications, availability, location, and schedule of field operations personnel
• Uses callout system to replace absenteeism, workload needs, or as directed by supervision
• Utilizes the distribution systems to accurately document customer outage information
• Adapts to a constantly changing work environment, thinks quickly to make tough decisions, works independently without direct supervision, works under stress, multi-tasks, and problem solves at a very high level

Requirements

• Maintain and abide by NERC security access for Physical Security Perimeter (PSP)
• Pass the CritiCall Dispatcher Test (CRIT): an interactive computer-administered test that measures reading comprehension, memory recall, spelling, call summarization, multitasking, data entry, speech comprehension/interpretation/hearing, cross-referencing, behavioral personality assessment, and situation judgement
• This occupation includes rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Pay

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary within the range will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.

• Minimum: $29.05 per hour
• Maximum: $48.41 per hour
