Systems Estimator

About the role

Associated Fire Protection, a leading 30+ year Omaha-based firm, seeks a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Estimator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will develop basic project elements and assist in preparing deliverables for Fire Protection Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops pricing for basic project elements and assists in preparing key estimating deliverables
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately estimates scope of work as described in project documents
• Evaluates, supports, and/or develops the presentation of estimate proposals, budgeting, and bidding
• Collects and correlates necessary project-related cost and schedule data, including equipment, materials, subcontractors, construction labor, expenses, and indirect costs such as quality, administrative, engineering, and taxes
• Manages bids and provides guidance in project planning and pre-construction phases

Requirements

• 2 to 5+ years of experience in fire protection systems design or related fields (construction, electrical, and electronic systems estimating)
• Experience with Bluebeam or other construction management software
• Excellent communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• 1+ years of Fire Alarm Systems estimating
• NICET Certifications beneficial
• Previous construction project management experience

Pay

Competitive hourly wage range: 28-37 hours per week

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software are also required.
