Systems Associate Estimator
About the role
The Systems Associate Estimator is a critical part of the low voltage systems team located in our corporate office in St. Petersburg, FL. You will work directly with vendors and the design team to produce accurate bid packages for all low voltage systems, including CCTV, access control, and structured cabling systems.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with vendors and clients to build relationships, define project scope, address deficiencies, and negotiate pricing
- Research quotes for material and labor from suppliers and subcontractors
- Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards
- Partner with Power Design’s construction project management team to properly transfer awarded projects and perform buyouts when necessary
Requirements
- 1 or more years of relevant technical estimating experience
- Knowledge of low voltage systems (Wi-Fi, structured cabling, CCTV, and access control systems); knowledge of nurse call and patient tracking systems a plus
- Ability to interpret construction documents and bid proposals
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships, work well in a team environment, and provide a high level of customer service
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred)
