About the Role

This position is for a Test and Assessment Lead within Lockheed Martin Space’s Strategic Reentry Programs (SRP). The team supports the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by designing, building, testing, and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment. The role involves leading pre- and post-testing analyses for flight testing, planning and executing ground testing, and managing delta qualification efforts. The candidate will lead other team members, including involvement in training and hiring, and some travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre- and post-testing analyses for flight testing.
  • Plan and execute ground testing efforts.
  • Plan and execute delta qualification efforts.
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability/effectiveness analyses for total systems at all product levels (concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal).
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions, accounting for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Lead and mentor team members, including involvement in training and hiring.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge and application of systems engineering processes and systems integration functions, including:
    • Test planning and execution, with an understanding of interdependencies.
    • System integration, test, and/or verification.
    • Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development.
    • System modeling.
  • Experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., electrical, mechanical, propulsion, radio frequency).
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with test assessment performance, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM).
  • 8+ years of experience with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, and test, with broad-based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile, and launch systems at the component through systems level.
  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions, often requiring integration of conflicting or incomplete data.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of daily program operations.
  • Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques, with demonstrated ability to apply them to complex problems and train others.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $104,900.00 - $194,700.00. The salary offered considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market/business considerations.

For Washington state applicants only:

  • Non-represented full-time employees: Accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
