Systems Engineer Staff

About the role

Support the development of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products, including views and artifacts for CONOPs development, requirements gap analysis, traceability, and interface definition. Derive requirements and interfaces to support requirements specification development. Conduct assessments of key performance parameters, technical performance measures, and requirement compliance. Generate products for formal system design reviews and collaborate with other engineering disciplines across a small, compartmentalized, and dynamic set of programs.

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems at all levels—concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Requirements

• Experience working as a System Architect, specifically in creating, developing, or defining new systems within a program.
• Proficiency in MBSE (SysML and DODAF).
• Experience in systems engineering, developing requirements, verifications, and validations.
• Experience performing trade studies.
• Working knowledge or experience within the risk and opportunity process.
• Experience collaborating across two or more engineering disciplines (software, avionics, mechanical, RF, electrical, etc.).
• Active or current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI (U.S. Citizenship required).

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in Cameo.
• Experience in defining system development testing.
• Familiarity with systems analysis.

• Familiarity with acceptance and qualification standards.
• Proficiency in AI prompting as it applies to this position.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $118,000 – $219,100.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
