About the role
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer for Integration & Test in Woodland Hills, CA. This position requires a strong understanding of system test solutions, test plans, and procedures, as well as the ability to coordinate integrated testing activities.
Responsibilities
- Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems.
- Design a formal qualification strategy to qualify new system designs utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, DOORS.
- Use scripting knowledge to develop test scripts to automate test campaigns.
- Coverage integrated testing activities.
- Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
- Conduct formal technical reviews, such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Assess performance of Navigation Systems and Mission Computers by analyzing data using MATLAB or similar software.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during test events, managing customer expectations and reporting results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of engineering experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of engineering experience.
- Experience authoring test procedures, managing test facility interfaces, and ensuring data integrity and cataloging.
- Experience with test execution, diagnostics, and formal requirement decomposition with traceability and verification.
- Proficient in at least one of the following programming environments: MATLAB, C, C++, C#, and/or Python.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of engineering experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of engineering experience.
- Experience authoring test procedures, managing test facility interfaces, and ensuring data integrity and cataloging.
- Experience with test execution, diagnostics, and formal requirement decomposition with traceability and verification.
- Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
- Experience creating automated test scripts that integrate with hardware interfaces.
- Systems engineering background and/or mindset.
- Active US Government Secret Level security clearance.
- Experience engaging external customers through meetings, presentations, and technical negotiations.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 for the primary level and $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 for the secondary level. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may also be offered.
