About the role
The Systems Engineer (Experienced or Lead) position is within the Bombers Sustainment Systems Engineering, Integration & Testing (SEIT) organization in Oklahoma City, OK. The role supports B-52 Sustainment programs, focusing on hardware and software related efforts.
Responsibilities
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Develops the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
- Solves cross-functional technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years of related systems engineering/project engineering work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in Excel / Data Analytics
- Ability to obtain a U. S. Top Secret security clearance post-start
Qualifications
- Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge and/or experience in MSOSA or Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience using DOORS or a similar type of requirements software.
- Experience writing documents such as CDRLs that will be delivered to customers.
- Experience developing proposals.
- Knowledge and/or experience applying AI to solve logistical problems (forecasting spare parts, estimating timelines to repair parts based on past experience, creating / maintaining dashboards).
Skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in MSOSA or Model Based Systems Engineering
