Systems Engineer, Component Reliability

Responsibilities
- Provide reliability engineering expertise and support on Space and other High-Reliability programs
- Review customer Statements of Work (SOW's) and specifications to identify and evaluate requirements
- Audit electronic designs for compliance to program and industry reliability requirements
- Generate plans, procedures, and analyses (FMECA, Derating, Prediction, RMAT, etc.) for military and aerospace programs as required by MIL/NASA standards and/or contract
- Interface internally with Electrical Design Engineers, Component Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Quality Engineers in support of reliability analyses and other efforts
- Perform and review key Reliability Analyses: Prediction, Derating, FMECA, etc.
- Apply military and aerospace industry reliability criteria (MIL-HDBK-217F, MIL-STD-1547B, etc) to analyses and coordinate adjustments for compliance with designers
- Support design compliance to key EEE Component standards including EEE-INST-002, NASA-STD-8739.11 and MSFC-STD-3012
Requirements
- BS degree in a technical field (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Material Science or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) in a related field may be substituted for some work experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers is strongly emphasized
- Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and work in both a support capacity and as a lead on differing functions.
- Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
- Strong time management capable of balancing multiple tasks and projects
- An active DoD clearance
- Working knowledge of Windchill (formerly Relex) reliability software
- Knowledge and working history with space and radiation effects (TID, DD, SEE)

Pay
The salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C., Denver, or NYC areas is $92,500 - $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
Schedule
9/80 (employee's work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off)
