The Central Region Systems Engineering organization within the Northrop Grumana Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Our team is chartered with providing the skills, innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain optimized product lines across the sector while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Requirements

  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 1 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Experience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test procedures.
  • Experience working on Agile programs and methodology.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
  • Experience with Cameo and DOORS.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

Qualifications

  • For a Systems Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 1 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • For a Systems Engineer Level 4: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD.

Skills

  • Familiarity with full engineering life cycle and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience with Cameo, STK, Python, MATLAB, Automated Testing.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

Schedule

This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
