Systems Apps Spec I N/E (BMG)

Responsibilities

• Provides training and support to team members and physicians on BMG computer applications/systems.
• Performs project planning, analysis, implementation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
• Maintains computer system security and provides general consulting.
• Serves as a liaison with BMG departments/physician offices as required.
• Trains team members on commercial and contracted insurance updates and Medicare/Medicaid billing changes.
• Assists in performing computer system upgrades and conversions.
• Communicates with the Director of Finance to improve the revenue cycle.
• Facilitates and assists in implementation of changes in software and billing protocols.
• Trains new physicians/providers as well as re-trains during system upgrades.
• Works directly with physicians on ProEHR system customization and documentation quality.
• Facilitates solutions for BMG departments/physician offices and communicates feedback to management.
• Performs troubleshooting and system testing.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum of three years progressively responsible medical practice experience, with preference for training and experience with BMG software/hardware.
• Skills: Technical skills to use and support various software and hardware, systems analysis, networking concepts, and proficiency in Allscripts ProPM and Electronic Medical Records systems.
