About the role
The Systems & Solutions Trainer leverages technical expertise and sales knowledge to support and drive growth of Kidde Commercial line and partners. This role designs and delivers training programs, webinars, and resources on various technical topics to enhance customer and team capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and training for new customers, ensuring effective product use and addressing product and technical inquiries.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of products.
- Train customers in the use of Kidde Commercial products and adjacent product lines, ensuring they understand how to maximize their benefits.
- Assist the sales team in developing proposals, quotes, and technical documentation.
- Work with product development and product management/marketing to ensure products support customer needs based on VOC meetings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the sales process.
- Design and develop technical training programs tailored to organizational needs.
- Deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars on technical subjects in a classroom setting.
- Create training materials such as course materials, presentations, and instructional aids.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
- Offer feedback and guidance to trainees to help them improve their technical and sales skills.
- Manage training resources to ensure training equipment and resources are available and in good working order.
- Keep up to date with the latest technological trends and advancements within our industry.
- Maintain detailed communication of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions with the Systems Solutions Training Leader and Regional Sales Teams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 10+ years of experience with low voltage systems, public address systems, Networking, Communications, and Fire Alarm Systems in the Life Safety Industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of fire systems and the technical aspects of the Kidde Commercial family of products.
- In-depth knowledge of the subjects being taught.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills supported by previous experience and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly. Strong presentation skills with the ability to train on various industry related topics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tailor training programs for diverse audiences.
- Strong team-oriented, fosters teamwork with improved ideas and resolution to problems. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Participate in internal sales meetings to report on partner-facing activities.
- Strong time management and CRM proficiency (e.g. Salesforce).
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications.

Pay
Base Salary Rate: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00
