About the Opportunity

The Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, network systems, virtualized environments, and cloud services. This role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations by providing advanced technical support, performing system maintenance, and collaborating with internal teams to implement improvements. The position is essential for sustaining infrastructure performance and supporting the organization's mission through robust technology management.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Windows and Linux server infrastructure and enterprise systems.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and identity-related services.
  • Conduct system upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security controls.
  • Support Hyper-V virtualized environments and core virtual infrastructure services.
  • Monitor network, cloud, and virtual infrastructure for performance, availability, and security.
  • Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Provide high-level technical escalation support for infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors on technical solutions and service improvements.
  • Follow change management processes for infrastructure activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configuration records.
  • Support security hardening, patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, and access reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in systems, network, or infrastructure administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
  • Relevant technical certifications.
  • Proficiency in administering Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in IT hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with Windows server environments and core enterprise systems.
  • Skilled in supporting VPN, firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, and core network services.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions, system monitoring, patching, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Experience administering Linux server environments.
  • Scripting and automation skills, preferably PowerShell and Linux shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with SAN/NAS and performance tuning.
  • Strong communication, documentation, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of enterprise security, access control, patching, and change management.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
