About the Role
A Boar’s Head Systems Analyst (SA) – Oracle HCM is a key resource in the Enterprise Applications Team, focused on implementing, supporting, and optimizing Oracle HCM (Human Capital Management) Cloud solutions. This role involves collaborating with HR and IT stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, design and document solutions, support integrations, and ensure the HRIS ecosystem meets evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between technical developers and business teams by conducting analysis, defining functional and high-level technical requirements, configuring systems for implementation, and supporting go-live testing and deployments.
- Gather, document, analyze, prioritize, and agree on technical requirements, controlling changes and scope throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate and improve business processes to increase productivity through deployment of key features, capabilities, and enhancements.
- Assist in defining data governance policies, including framework, roles, processes, tools, data quality, and compliance.
- Evaluate, outline, and document technical process flows and data flows using tools like Visio.
- Leverage technology for business solutions, focusing on continuous improvements in information management while adhering to corporate data policies.
- Identify automation opportunities and enhance processes using reporting, analytics tools, and visual diagramming.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers and IT QA Analysts to define and execute technical test strategies, including test design, defect management, and regression testing.
- Support formal end-user training and change management materials, establishing implementation standards for system adoption.
- Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate solutions, and collaborate with Technical Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and stakeholders for vendor selection.
- Participate in technical strategy discussions, assist in technology roadmap planning (18-24 months), and estimate technical effort for projects.
- Maintain technical project documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and data flows.
- Explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to business stakeholders and align IT development with business execution plans.
- Partner with project managers to define change requests, focusing on project constraints (schedule, resources, scope/quality).
- Familiarity with Agile concepts, ceremonies, and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Functional expertise in implementing and supporting Oracle HCM Cloud modules (Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Talent Management, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for integration development and management.
- Experience configuring, testing, and deploying Oracle HCM Cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and testing integrations between Oracle HCM and third-party systems.
- Experience preparing functional and technical design documentation.
- Experience with Oracle Financials is preferred.
- Skills in web or full-stack development (e.g., Application Composer, Visual Builder Studio, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project, Visio, and similar tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years as a Systems Analyst or similar role with Oracle HCM Cloud/Fusion applications.
- Demonstrated experience with Oracle Integration Cloud.
- Experience with web development or full-stack technologies (e.g., Application Composer, Visual Builder Studio) is preferred.
- Oracle HCM Cloud certification(s) preferred.

Schedule
