GDIT is seeking a Systems Administrator Senior (MECM) to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). This role involves connecting and enhancing enterprise IT systems, ensuring operational efficiency and innovation.
About the role
As a Systems Administrator Senior (MECM), you will play a key role in maintaining and improving IT infrastructure, supporting both current operations and future advancements. Your work will directly impact the mission of INSCOM by ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Build application packages into MECM and deploy onto servers and workstations.
- Provide application/Windows OS installation, configuration, patching, and data reporting (e.g., application install status, client health) using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Create and maintain workstation images and build new systems using a standard imaging process.
- Create, update, and maintain automated application deployment packages.
- Develop software installation scripts for software installations.
- Develop and implement operating system downloads for supported workstations.
- Assist in software installation package distribution and troubleshooting.
- Design, implement, and configure COTS/GOTS software to support enterprise infrastructure.
- Provide user support and guidance on IT systems.
- Research, evaluate, and remain current on emerging tools, techniques, and IT technologies.
- Work closely with clients to perform technical and requirements analysis.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and more.
- Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Maintain and update Server STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) requirements to comply with DISA standards.
- Coordinate with the Information Assurance team to remediate workstation security issues found during routine checks.
- Provide Tier-3 support for enterprise-level issues.
- Maintain relevant and working knowledge of Active Directory (AD) administration, including Organizational Units (OU), Users & Groups, in support of System Center Configuration Manager functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 10 years of experience in a related field.
- 10+ years of related experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; ability to obtain a CI Polygraph as required by the contract.
- US Citizenship required.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent).
- Must obtain full AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification within 180 days of start date.
- Computing Environment certifications: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or equivalent.
- MECM experience on Windows Server platforms.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Ability to provide in-depth troubleshooting for IT systems and detailed analysis for escalated tickets.
- Willingness to perform moderately strenuous activities, such as lifting IT hardware, reaching/bending/kneeling to plug in cables.
- Travel may be required (less than 10%).

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $95,200 - $128,800. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
