Key Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and optimize RHEL-based server infrastructure, including RHEL 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x.
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management.
- Provide technical guidance and support for system integration, migrations, and upgrades.
- Monitor, analyze, and tune system performance.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations to safeguard data and maintain high availability.
- Assess, recommend, and implement hardware and software solutions to meet evolving business and technical requirements.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation using tools such as Tenable, HP WebInspect, and other industry-standard platforms.
- Investigate security incidents, assess risks, and design mitigation strategies.
- Implement proactive and reactive security measures.
- Manage and apply DISA STIGs and mitigate Known Exploitable Vulnerabilities to ensure compliance and security.
- Automate routine tasks and system management using Ansible Automation Platform, scripting languages such as Bash and Python, and other tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and update documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, storage, application, and security teams, to support integrated solutions and resolve complex issues.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working as a system administrator on Linux or Red Hat systems is required.
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
- Must be able to report onsite to Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to contract requirements.
- Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.
- This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime.
- Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
