Systems Administrator (KEY-SA1-03.080626)

Security clearance: TS/SCI with both polygraphs required. Location: Fort Meade, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and other IT systems.
• Perform Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Escalate and communicate system status to agency management and internal customers.
• Support dispatch systems and hardware issues, remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
• Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university or one of the following:
  • 3 years of experience + bachelor’s degree,
  • 8 years of experience with no degree, or
  • 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Five years of additional Systems Administrator experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
