As a Systems Administrator I, you'll provide first-line technical support for employees across the company while helping maintain our desktop, server, and network environments. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with user account administration, deploy technology solutions, and work closely with the broader Digital Services team to ensure reliable, secure IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee technical support requests via phone, email, chat, and ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, network, and Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts, permissions, and access using Active Directory and related identity management tools.
  • Support Windows workstations, server environments, and network-connected devices.
  • Monitor system health and respond to alerts to help ensure reliable IT operations.
  • Perform software installations, system updates, patches, and preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with server, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff while documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and support technology initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, system configurations, and IT procedures.
  • Contribute to technology improvement projects and other Digital Services initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three to five years of experience providing technical support, systems administration, or help desk services.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and enterprise desktop environments.
  • Experience supporting VPNs, file services, printing, conferencing systems, and mobile devices.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, hardware troubleshooting, and system administration.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager, Intune, PowerShell, application packaging, or automated software deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), virtualization, or endpoint management tools is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, or equivalent are preferred.

Pay

Hourly Range: $35 USD - $40 USD. Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually.
