About the Role

The Manufacturing Systems Engineer will focus on learning and optimizing complex computer systems that track and control manufacturing processes, gaining valuable insights into business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Learn complex computer systems used in tracking and controlling manufacturing processes.
  • Gain familiarity with manufacturing business processes.
  • Help in configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting a wide range of computer-integrated processes.
  • Assist in designing, building, testing, and deploying custom solutions to extend our manufacturing systems’ capabilities.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to provide process analytics.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance our systems.
  • Support new product introduction.
  • Prepare and maintain application documentation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Services, or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A desire to obtain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Moderate experience with computer programming and programming concepts (experience with C# and SQL preferred).
  • Familiarity with databases.
  • A willingness to learn new skills at a rapid pace.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
  • Strong knowledge of implementation and effective development of helpdesk and IT operations best practices.
  • May require the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

This position requires the ability to lift, bend, or stoop as necessary up to 20 lbs.
