About the role
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the college's IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the college’s computer systems and networks
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications
- Perform routine system backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with other IT staff and external vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong knowledge of network administration and security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with server management tools such as VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft System Center
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
