The organization values secure, reliable, and scalable technology environments that enable effective business performance.About the OpportunityThe Senior Systems Administrator leads the administration and ongoing improvement of hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of enterprise technology environments while supporting infrastructure projects, integrations, and day-to-day operations. The position works closely with technical and business teams to resolve complex issues, improve operational efficiency, and implement technology solutions aligned with organizational needs.Responsibilities• Design, implement, administer, and support secure, scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure.• Manage AWS and Microsoft Azure environments, Windows Server infrastructure, and core networking components.• Administer switches, routers, wireless infrastructure, VPNs, firewalls, storage, and endpoint management systems.• Support hybrid Windows, macOS, iOS, and mobile device environments.• Monitor system performance, reliability, capacity, availability, and security and identify opportunities for improvement.• Lead infrastructure projects from planning and implementation through ongoing support.• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, cloud, and system issues.• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.• Implement automation, monitoring, and proactive management practices to improve efficiency and scalability.• Partner with vendors, consultants, and managed service providers to support infrastructure services.• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related enterprise systems.• Maintain secure networking services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, wireless connectivity, and firewalls.• Manage user onboarding, offboarding, device lifecycle, endpoint, and asset management processes.• Support security controls, patching, monitoring, access management, and infrastructure best practices.• Support integrations between ERP, eCommerce, WMS, CRM, and third-party SaaS platforms.• Develop and troubleshoot integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML, OAuth, and related technologies.• Support EDI transactions and trading partner integrations.• Collaborate with business and technology teams to troubleshoot application and system integrations.• Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Mentor Tier 1 support staff by providing technical guidance and promoting best practices.• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and managed service providers on technical initiatives and support issues.• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business requirements.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field preferred.• Minimum 5 years of experience administering enterprise infrastructure, distributed systems, or hybrid cloud environments.• Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory/Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, wireless networking, VPNs, and firewalls.• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and business systems.• Experience leading technical projects and working independently in a fast-paced environment.• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash, or JavaScript preferred.• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices using Git or GitLab preferred.• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift preferred.• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM preferred.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Annual salary range of $125,000–$145,000.• Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.
