About the role
We are seeking a Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain critical server infrastructure and applications across Operational Technology (OT) and enterprise network environments. This role is ideal for a technology professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, working with modern Microsoft technologies, and contributing to infrastructure modernization and lifecycle initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain server-based applications across both OT and business network environments.
- Deploy, administer, and support Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, including system deployments, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management initiatives.
- Assist with the design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of application platforms and infrastructure solutions.
- Analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability, security, and performance.
- Contribute to infrastructure security, compliance, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting server-based applications in both on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Servers.
- Experience participating in system implementation, deployment, upgrade, or lifecycle management projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to document infrastructure environments, configurations, and support procedures.
- Experience with one or more of the following physical security platforms: Lenel OnGuard, Genetec Security Center, Synergis Access Control, Physical Security Systems, SQL Server, Windows Server, OpenAccess API, DataConduIT, Alarm Monitoring, Video Management Systems (VMS), Security Operations, System Integration, Enterprise Security Applications, Physical Identity & Access Management (PIAM).
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) environments and security concepts, including: Purdue Model, Air-gapped networks, Zero Trust architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings.
- Experience developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including: VMware ESXi, VMware vCenter, VxRail (preferred).
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server, Azure, or other relevant technologies.
- Experience deploying, administering, and troubleshooting Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, or similar distributions).
- Experience administering infrastructure platforms while supporting cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with security and administration tools such as: Tenable Nessus, Tanium, Similar enterprise management and security platforms.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and/or the SAFe framework.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar DevOps project management tools.

This is a 6-month contract position, with a 2-round video interview process, and requires 5 days onsite in Pasadena, TX.
