About the role

The Systems Administrator II maintains and supports technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components in a forward-thinking, innovative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Configure, optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and servers; provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage and coordinate tech support tickets and the escalation process between tier 2 and tier 3 support.
  • Perform system maintenance tasks such as system back-ups, recovery, and file maintenance.
  • Administer phone, fax, email, operating systems, applications, and Active Directory.
  • Create and update documentation for end-users and procedural purposes.
  • Configure, test, and deploy software packages.
  • Assist with writing policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Train new team members.
  • Assist with networking changes and equipment replacements.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) is a plus.
  • 2–4 years’ experience working with a wide variety of hardware and software systems.
