Responsibilities
- Maintains integrity of the operating system environment.
- Maintains workstation and server administration setup, testing, maintenance, and support.
- Schedules data backup and recovery operations.
- Initiates shutdown and reboot of servers as required for system maintenance and emergency response action.
- Maintains and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Recommends and integrates hardware and system software upgrades to optimize system performance.
- Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Maintains continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and three (3) years experience managing applications or servers in an IT environment.
- Certifications, Licenses or Registration: None required.

- Knowledge: Knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, security, software applications, and system utilities.
- Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, customer service, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Abilities: Ability to perform workstation and server administration setup, testing, maintenance, and support; ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system hardware and software; ability to monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels; ability to perform system backup and recovery; ability to prepare reports and maintain records and documentation.
