About the role
This is an end-user and customer-facing role where systems administrators manage the lifecycle of various on-premise and cloud solutions. They support and escalate issues for other IT technicians across different teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the life cycles of various on-premise and cloud solutions, including complex Active Directory environments and simple workgroup environments.
- Design, implement, maintain, and decommission services according to project and customer requirements.
- Research and familiarize with new software and hardware to support customer needs.
- Support and serve as an escalation point for other IT technicians, including helpdesk, service technicians, network administrators, DevOps, and in-house software development teams.
- Ensure end-users receive excellent IT experiences.
Qualifications
- Relevant degrees such as computer science, information technology, cyber security, and similar programs.
- Experience as a systems administrator or engineer is preferred, but experience in other IT positions may be suitable.
- Certifications from organizations like CompTIA and ISC2 are welcome, as are vendor-specific certifications like VMware's VMC* or Microsoft's MCS*.
