Innovative Signal Analysis (ISA) works in all phases from concept design, through development and integration, to operations and maintenance of challenging mission-critical systems, with offices in Richardson, TX & Aurora, CO.

Position Level

  • Junior Systems Administrator: Performs routine administration and troubleshooting with guidance, follows documented procedures, and demonstrates a strong willingness to learn.
  • Systems Administrator: Independently supports production systems, resolves complex issues, contributes automation, and participates in infrastructure projects.
  • Senior Systems Administrator: Designs and improves infrastructure solutions, leads complex projects and troubleshooting efforts, develops standards, and mentors other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, workstations, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, WSUS, and certificate services.
  • Perform system provisioning, patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, configuration changes, backups, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Monitor system health, performance, capacity, availability, and security events.
  • Support users and engineering teams through helpdesk, ticketing, incident response, and root-cause analysis processes.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects and, depending on experience, lead technical planning and implementation.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, procedures, build guides, and troubleshooting records.
  • Collaborate with coworkers, users, vendors, and leadership across Colorado and Texas.

Required Skills

  • Systems administration: Hands-on experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems, services, users, permissions, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Core infrastructure: Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, identity management, access control, certificates, PKI, and TLS.
  • Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, ports, protocols, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Virtualization and storage: Familiarity with enterprise hypervisors, virtual machines, NFS, SMB/CIFS, snapshots, replication, backups, and recovery concepts.
  • Provisioning and automation: Experience with Kickstart, Windows unattended installation, Bash and/or PowerShell scripting, and Git version control.
  • Security and compliance: Understanding of system hardening, vulnerability remediation, security best practices, and DISA STIGs.
  • Support and communication: Experience with help-desk or customer-support processes, ticketing systems, documentation, and communicating technical work clearly.

Desired Skills

  • Automation and Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform, Packer, standardized configuration management, and automated system deployment.
  • DevOps and software delivery: GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Nexus artifact repositories, and infrastructure testing or validation.
  • Containers and orchestration: Podman, containerized services, Kubernetes, RKE2, K3s, and CSI storage integrations such as Trident.
  • Enterprise networking: Cisco Catalyst or Nexus switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco VoIP, and data-center network infrastructure.
  • Storage and backup: NetApp, Synology, Pure Storage, Veeam, snapshots, replication, and recovery testing.
  • Monitoring and security: Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Elastic Stack, Splunk, Nessus, Trellix, and vulnerability-management tools.
  • Compliance: DISA STIG implementation, SCAP scanning, CMMC requirements, system hardening, and remediation across operating systems and infrastructure appliances.
  • Projects and leadership: Planning or leading infrastructure projects, developing technical standards, and mentoring other administrators.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant professional experience, military experience, technical training, or certifications may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Ability to work onsite in Colorado and occasionally support or travel to ISA's Texas facilities.
  • Willingness to support planned maintenance or critical incidents outside normal business hours when necessary.

Pay

Salary Range: $130,000—$165,000 USD. We offer a compensation package that includes a competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus and benefits. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as candidate's work experience, education, training & skills, as well as market and business considerations.
