System Software Engineer, UEFI Firmware

About the role

Join NVIDIA's UEFI Firmware team and contribute to the early modeling and simulation required to produce world-class products. You'll follow projects from development through deployment in gaming consoles, servers, and AI devices used globally.

Responsibilities

• Develop features and code for UEFI firmware
• Document code flow, data flow, and architecture for UEFI Firmware
• Debug and root cause UEFI Firmware issues through creative thinking
• Support simulation and FPGA environment bring-up for UEFI Firmware
• Drive and resolve issues independently across teams and disciplines
• Plan and execute pre- and post-silicon verification of UEFI firmware
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with global teams

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in low-level operating system functionality, particularly with ARM technologies and programming
• Superb C programming and debugging skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience with UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, or Linux kernel is preferred
• Working experience in system software, operating system internals, kernel modules, and device drivers
• Experience working with AI development tools

Pay

Base salary range: $124,000 – $195,500 USD for Level 2, and $152,000 – $241,500 USD for Level 3. Eligible for equity and benefits.
