About Our Team
We’re looking for a Senior UEFI Engineer to join our Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) at Lenovo. As a member of the strategic UEFI development team, you will work with industry-leading team members to create optimized customer solutions for Lenovo’s broad product line, including Cloud-Based Servers, IoT Servers, and Enterprise Servers. You will be challenged to research and develop a premium UEFI offering for these critical and growing market segments.
Responsibilities
- Work with software engineers to write, debug, and test embedded firmware.
- Manage and maintain firmware build tools, builds, and releases to test teams.
- Recreate and fix problems reported by the test team.
- Perform code development, unit testing, debugging, and customer support for technical issues.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in Embedded Firmware/Software Development.
- Experience with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) or BIOS.
- Strong experience with the C programming language.
- Experience with firmware programming and debugging.
- Experience with x86 and ARM processors.
- Familiarity with x86 and ARM Assembler.
- Experience with hardware bring-up and boot sequence.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency with Git source version control system, including common Git workflows, forking, and code reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OpenEDK.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
