About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a System Software Engineer for the UEFI Firmware team, focusing on the early modeling and simulation necessary for developing world-class products. This role involves working on UEFI firmware for gaming consoles, servers, and AI devices. The engineer will engage in code development, debugging, and collaboration with global teams. The position offers opportunities to drive issues independently and participate in pre and post silicon verification.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in low-level operating system functionality, particularly with ARM technologies
- Superb C programming and debugging skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, and the Linux kernel is preferred
- Working experience in system software, operating system internals, kernel modules, and device drivers
- Experience working with AI development tools
Responsibilities
- Develop features and code for UEFI firmware
- Document code flow, data flow, and architecture for UEFI firmware
- Debug and root cause UEFI firmware issues through creative thinking
- Support simulation and FPGA environment bringup for UEFI firmware
- Drive and resolve issues independently across teams and disciplines
- Plan and execute pre and post silicon verification of UEFI firmware
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams from around the globe
Pay
$124,000 - $241,500 per year
