Sr. Firmware Engineer, UEFI

About the role

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining firmware for Lenovo's UEFI systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop firmware for Lenovo's UEFI systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, and quality assurance specialists
• Maintain and update existing firmware to address bugs and improve system performance
• Work closely with product security teams to ensure firmware meets security standards
• Contribute to the development of new features and technologies within the firmware space

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in firmware development
• Experience with UEFI firmware design and implementation
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating systems
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry-standard firmware development tools and methodologies
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Understanding of hardware design and system architecture
