System Protection & Studies EIT/Coordinator

About the role

The System Protection & Studies (SPS) EIT/Coordinator position at HDR is an entry-level role that involves executing the technical aspects and deliverables of projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in developing design options through analysis, completing engineering calculation reports, and participating in field reviews or construction observations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop design options, performing modeling and/or calculations
• Complete engineering calculation reports such as load flow, short circuit, grounding and arc flash studies
• Perform routine engineering and design tasks
• Participate in field reviews or construction observation
• Work independently on small tasks and assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
• Preferred: Previous related internship in an A/E firm
• Preferred: Previous experience with system modeling and studies (ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, etc)
• Preferred: EIT certification
• Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Required: Computer skills in Microsoft Office
