Control System EIT/Coordinator

About the role

The Controls Systems EIT/Coordinator position at HDR involves engineering tasks with varying levels of complexity, assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager. Tasks can range from working independently on small tasks to assisting senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Check manufacturer's drawings and perform engineering calculations.
• Work on design layouts, verifying code compliance, conducting quality checks, and meeting project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines as required.
• Deal with power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis, and grounding.
• Depending on project size, may require supervision of designers and CAD operators.
• Engage in field reviews or construction observations.
• Participate in designing SCADA systems, including schematics and loops.
• Design control panels and panel wiring.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 to 4 years of experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD 3D, and other drafting/designing software.
• Experience with control panel design and panel wiring.
• Familiarity with Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
• Professional work experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Skills

• Attention to accuracy and detail orientation.
• Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
