Control System EIT/Coordinator
About the role
The Controls Systems EIT/Coordinator position at HDR involves engineering tasks with varying levels of complexity, assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager. Tasks can range from working independently on small tasks to assisting senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Check manufacturer's drawings and perform engineering calculations.
- Work on design layouts, verifying code compliance, conducting quality checks, and meeting project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines as required.
- Deal with power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis, and grounding.
- Depending on project size, may require supervision of designers and CAD operators.
- Engage in field reviews or construction observations.
- Participate in designing SCADA systems, including schematics and loops.
- Design control panels and panel wiring.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 to 4 years of experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD 3D, and other drafting/designing software.
- Experience with control panel design and panel wiring.
- Familiarity with Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
- Professional work experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Skills
- Attention to accuracy and detail orientation.
- Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
