About the role

The Role Play a critical role in fielding next-generation Navy Radar/EO/IR and Electronic Warfare systems, as well as land-based sensor networks. Analyze live tactical sensor data to identify and resolve issues impacting mission requirements. Develop and utilize physics-based simulations for in-depth understanding of system performance in challenging threat environments. Invent, explore, and apply modeling and simulation capabilities, data analysis tools, and machine learning algorithms. Process large datasets using signal and data processing techniques, including machine learning, to create novel algorithms. Investigate and address emergent phenomenology impacting sensor systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze live tactical sensor data to identify and resolve issues impacting mission requirements.
  • Develop and utilize physics-based simulations for in-depth understanding of system performance in challenging threat environments.
  • Invent, explore, and apply modeling and simulation capabilities, data analysis tools, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Process large datasets using signal and data processing techniques, including machine learning, to create novel algorithms.
  • Investigate and address emergent phenomenology impacting sensor systems.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline with sensor systems engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of radar principles and physics-based phenomena affecting radar or communications systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by start date.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline with sensor systems engineering experience.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of radar principles and physics-based phenomena affecting radar or communications systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by start date.
