Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, including system performance, maintenance, and change management
  • Support and administer key systems and platforms:
    • Identity & Access Management: Okta, FastPass, automated provisioning
    • Collaboration Tools: Microsoft 365, limited Google Workspace
    • Data & Storage: Box, Druva backup, NAS systems
    • Device Management: Intune, Jamf, LogMeIn Resolve
    • Security Tools: CrowdStrike, Cloudflare WARP, Mimecast, KnowBe4
    • Networking: Meraki switches, access points, CloudRadius
    • Print Services: Papercut cloud print management
  • Manage vendor relationships, including ISPs and SaaS providers
  • Drive automation initiatives using tools such as Workato or similar platforms
  • Act as a senior escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 Help Desk issues
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex technical problems
  • Ensure timely resolution of critical incidents with minimal business disruption
  • Document issues, resolutions, and system configurations
  • Implement and manage monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk) to proactively maintain system health
  • Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Partner with SOC/SIEM teams for incident response and threat management
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and governance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, application engineering) to align IT services with business needs
  • Mentor and train Help Desk staff and junior administrators to improve efficiency and technical capabilities
  • Lead or contribute to IT projects, ensuring delivery on time and within scope
  • Promote continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and process optimization
  • Identify and implement improvements in systems, workflows, and automation
  • Respond to evolving business and technology needs with flexible, scalable solutions
  • Maintain detailed system documentation and operational procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in system administration within hybrid environments
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Windows and macOS administration
    • SaaS platforms (Okta, Office 365, Box, Druva, Intune, Jamf, etc.)
    • Networking (Meraki, CloudRadius)
    • Endpoint and device management
    • Security tools (CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Cloudflare WARP, KnowBe4)
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and automation platforms (Workato or similar)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Splunk
  • Solid understanding of IT security, IAM, and compliance standards
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • Microsoft 365 / Azure Administrator Associate
    • Cisco certifications
    • CISSP or similar security certifications
  • Experience with:
    • Workato Orchestrate or similar platforms
    • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
    • Zero-trust security models
    • Advanced endpoint management (Intune, Jamf)
    • Configuring application logging in Splunk Cloud
