System Administrator
About the role
We’re hiring System Administrators at multiple experience levels to support mission-critical operations in Linux-based, high-performance environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, optimizing system performance, and working closely with engineering and operations teams to keep essential infrastructure reliable and available.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot systems and infrastructure supporting mission operations
- Install, configure, and administer Linux operating systems and applications
- Manage file systems, networking services, and system resources
- Troubleshoot operating system and application issues in complex environments
- Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate administrative tasks
- Compile, install, configure, and support software applications
- Support automation and configuration management initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering/operations teams to resolve issues and improve performance
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Participate in upgrades, maintenance windows, and operational support activities
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Linux administration experience with one or more of the following: RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, SLES, Ubuntu
- Experience with: Linux installation/configuration, File system administration, TCP/IP networking fundamentals, OS and application troubleshooting, Bash scripting, Software compilation and installation
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and ability to work both independently and on a team
Nice to Have (Strongly Preferred)
- Exposure to or understanding of High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or mission-critical infrastructure
- Familiarity with high-speed networking such as InfiniBand and/or Slingshot

Storage / Networking Experience (A Plus)
- If you have a background in storage, networking, or infrastructure engineering, you’re highly encouraged to apply.
- Storage technologies (preferred): Lustre configuration/administration/troubleshooting, DDN Exascaler appliances, storage fabric design/support, storage performance tuning/optimization
- Networking technologies (preferred): Enterprise routing/switching (Cisco / Juniper / Arista)
Bonus (emerging tech exposure)
- Benchmarking/diagnostics tools: IOR, iperf, FIO, lnet_selftest
