About the role

Responsibilities
- Create and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
- Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
- Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
- Handles regular system backups and periodically test backups for functionality.
- Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administrative support.
- Performs maintenance including software upgrades, patch installs, system tests, and other scheduled operations.
- Performs system backups and recovery.
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to the operating system, hardware, network, and related software.
- Troubleshoot server issues.
- Administer customer accounts.
- Deploy applications and tools.
- Aid with escalated customer tickets.
- Installation and cabling of equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
- 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs of similar scope, type and complexity. 5 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years of direct and/or related System Administrator work experience with Linux command line (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon, Linux or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Federal, NSA, IC, and DoD Information Security regulations, publications, and policy.
- DoD 8570 compliance with Security+ certification.
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tools.
- Experience with IPv4 networking.
- Experience with PKI server certificates.
- Experience with SAN storage solutions of any kind (EMC, NetApp or Quantum is a plus).
- Scripting experience (Python/Perl).

Pay
$155,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
