About the role

eClerx is seeking a team-oriented Loans Operations Specialist to join our BFSI department. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the syndicated loans business and associated client service. Our operations professionals help build and handle syndicated loan products, processes, and services. The candidate will liaise with internal and external colleagues and clients across Front, Middle, and Back Office functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the growing trade operations; manage the trade life cycle from pre-closing to settlements, including block allocation, zero share activity, and related cash operations.
  • Manage life cycle events for participatory loans, including mailbox management, processing incoming notices, and related cash operations.
  • Scale agency servicing operations, including managing notices, mailbox communication, and related cash operations.
  • Support residential mortgage warehouse and whole loan operations, including loan setup, trade support, funding, settlements, and related cash/reconciliation activities.
  • Process daily transactions across Trade Support, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
  • Perform trade closing, settlements, and cash reconciliation activities.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, breaks, and exceptions to senior analysts/managers in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to defined SOPs, checklists, and quality/control frameworks; maintain complete and accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in banking/financial services operations; exposure to syndicated loans, trade settlements, or cash reconciliation preferred.
  • Good understanding of financial markets concepts and willingness to build expertise in loan syndication.
  • Strong logical and quantitative abilities with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to manage and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision once trained.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritize effectively.
  • Exposure to loan platforms (e.g., LoanIQ/ClearPar) and automation/RPA tools.
  • Willingness to continuously learn, upgrade skills, and stay relevant to business demands.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and client counterparts.
  • Current subject matter experience or prior training experience.
