About the role

The Syndicated Loan Senior Consultant is a member of the Loan Operations team that provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting, support and leadership to the team and business partners. The role involves carrying out activities and projects of varying complexity, balancing operational execution with strategic business function activities. This position ensures service quality and acts as a key advisor on significant business decisions.

Working Model

We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure flexibility, with the successful candidate spending time between working in the office and working from home.

Major Duties

  • Drive the development, maintenance and adoption of standard desktop procedures.
  • Perform root cause analysis and escalate repetitive operational problems to management, working to resolve via formal action plan.
  • Work effectively as a team member and independently, demonstrating self-motivation.
  • Manage multiple projects of various complexities, coordinating effectively and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Audit data and coordinate between multiple businesses and auditors.
  • Aid in the on-boarding and training of new partners, cross-training junior level partners and providing backup as needed.
  • Act as a key subject matter expert on Northern Trust as agent syndicated loan deals within Loan Operations and stakeholders across business units.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within existing processes.
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to junior level partners on operational processes and issue analysis and resolution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal frontline and client contacts.
  • Resolve client issues or inquiries with limited input.
  • Understand current Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to syndicated loan fundings/payments, participant fundings/payments, and booking into ACBS.
  • Periodically review procedure documents/checklists.
  • Frequently come up with process enhancements/control measures and suggestions to improve existing process flows.

Knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Syndicated Loan products and Banking products.
  • Knowledge of applications including ACBS, EDM workflow, DSM workflow, and MTS (preferred).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Works with a sense of urgency.

Experience

  • Minimum 9-11 years of syndicated loan processing and administration experience.
  • Flexible to extend support on BAU whenever there is a business requirement.

Salary Range

$74,700 - 126,900 USD
