Swiss CNC Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Run turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer-related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct pre-sale activities and reviews, including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations, and development of turnkey proposals.
• Develop and implement custom demonstrations and train customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Provide training to customers on the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Create accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications.
• Travel to customers for on-site training and engineering assistance.

Requirements

• Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool-related engineering and manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
• Knowledge of Fanuc-based controls; 5-axis experience is a plus.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and conversational programming.
• Able to think quickly, assess situations, and make sound decisions.
