About the role
Salem Gymnastics & Swim is looking for an energetic, kid-loving individual passionate about teaching life-saving swim skills and helping children grow in confidence in and around the water. Join a close-knit, supportive team with an excellent training program designed to help you succeed and grow.
Responsibilities
- Teach swimming lessons to children
- Ensure safety and supervision in and around the water
- Help children develop confidence and enjoyment in swimming
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities
Requirements
- Current American Red Cross lifeguard certification
- Ability to swim proficiently
- Positive attitude and ability to interact well with children
- Strong communication and teaching skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or related field preferred
- Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting
Skills
- Effective communication and teaching skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience and empathy towards children
